Responsibilities and Duties Looking for an individual who is able to gather business and technical requirements and help deliver appropriate end-to-end solutions consisting of component-based, services-oriented applications developed using the .NET Framework, and complementary Microsoft technologies. As a part of the Application Development Team, this individual will interact with key business stakeholders and will have the opportunity to influence solution design and the selection of technologies for the WV State Auditor's Office. Responsibilities - Works individually and as a part of a team to develop solutions that help achieve the business goals of the WV State Auditor's Office. - Understand, analyze, and document client technical environment and business requirements - Participate in the development and delivery of solutions by estimating, planning, designing, and implementing services Required knowledge, skills and capabilities - Minimum of 3 years real-world experience in .NET web application development . - Ability to present ideas in a clear, concise format using narrative statements and logic diagrams. - Experience working with relational databases (Microsoft SQL preferred) Education Certification - Bachelor's degree or an Associate's degree from an accredited college, university or business school in computer science or related field including but not limited to business data programming, business systems analysis, computer accounting, computer and information systems, computer servicing technologies, information systems management, data processing, or computer engineering Substitution - Three years of full-time paid computer programming experience in one or more programming languages such as C, ASP.NET, VB.NET, and Web services in a Windows .NET environment, including one year of analysis work or data base languages may substitute for the required training. Experience Three years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid computer programming experience using C, ASP.NET, VB.NET and Web services in a Windows .NET environment, including one year of analysis work.
